Progression of GYDO
The Beginning
Get Your Droid On was the brain child of NoOneHereYet. It started as a humble page with a listing of all of the available builds of the Android OS, rooted and OTA. It was created for the purpose of maintaining a central listing of Android builds in the hopes that it would foster further growth of an operating system with the potential to be the front runner in not only smart phones, but a variety of hardware.
The Evolution
With the obvious growth of the operating system it was time for GYDO to grow with it. Rather than put the work on the shoulders of a few Android devotees, we decided to open the site up to the world and allow it to grow and evolve with the people who truly made Android what it is now and will become: the user.

Editing the Wiki
Who Can Edit
For the most part, the wiki is editable by anyone. The only pages that are protected from edits by anyone who is not an admin are pages that contain downloads to Android builds and ROMs. This is to ensure that only tested, approved and safe builds are hosted by GYDO.
